Intern, City Development and Communication - Chennai

Position Summary:
The Intern works closely with the City Operations Team on key projects that leverage one’s knowledge and experience of the Fellowship towards improving our brand and communication with key stakeholders as well as building more partnerships to increase awareness about Teach for India’s role towards education equity in the region.
Primary responsibilities of this role include
  • Create & leverage Partnerships for development and awareness
    1. Network and engage with target organizations in the region that will help improve brand and awareness of our role in the region
    2. Update database of new leads for partnerships in the region
    3. Update database of Chennai’s media and communication partnerships in the region
    4. Compile key events in the city which could be partnership and communication wins
  • Capture journey of Students / Fellows /Alumni / Staff through a Human Centered design project towards -
    1. Sharing proof points of excellence of our long term impact with key stakeholders towards building awareness.
    2. Informing our Communication strategy for next year
  • Design an Engagement Plan for different sets of people in the city to understand our work
    1. Champions in the city
    2. Corporate Organizations
    3. General Public and other stakeholders
