Assistant Finance - Mumbai

Position Summary:
The Finance Assistant will perform accounting operating functions associated with normal finance and accountancy profile, checking of reimbursement statements and clearing them as per the relevant policy, record accounting entries in Financial System i.e. Tally and carry out ancillary functions like bank reconciliation, tax payments, answering queries by Internal and External Stakeholders.

Team Overview:
The Finance Assistant shall report to the Finance Manager. The team as it stands is headed by the Chief Financial Officer and comprises of 2 Finance Assistants, 3 Finance Associate and 1 Finance Manager.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To maintain and record entries in the books of accounts regularly
  • To process and disburse reimbursements on time
  • To reconcile ledgers
  • To prepare Bank reconciliations
  • To comply with statutory and tax regulations and make timely tax and other payments.
  • To handle finance related queries raised by internal and external stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities:

  • To assist in finalization of books of accounts and handle audits related concerns
  • To provide support to all verticals
  • To perform any other ancillary task as directed by the Finance Manager
  • To assist in Secretarial matters, correspondence and filing

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Good Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Applied Accounting
  • Working Knowledge of Tally
  • Conversant with Excel, MS Office
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Team Player

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate in Commerce with 1-3 years of relevant experience (preferred)
