Campus Ambassadors
If you are currently attending university, you can become involved with Teach For India by becoming a Campus Ambassador on your campus. Teach For India currently has more than 270 CA’s across campuses in India, UK, Canada, and the United States. CA’s are crucial to indentifying leaders on their campus that will join the Fellowship and go onto become future leaders in India. Their responsibilities entail building awareness about the Teach For India movement, serving as a liaison between Teach For India and their campus, and targeted recruitment of leaders on their campus. CA’s will mobilize students from their campus to apply to the Teach For India Fellowship through posters, presentations, calls, e-mails, group discussions/debates, and other media.
Some of the specific skills we are looking for in our CA’s:
1. Independent, self-motivated, mature and responsible high achievers. 2. Excellent communicators in both group presentations and one-on-one conversations.
3. Well-networked with contacts and ability to engage with a variety of audiences.
4. Resourceful and perseverant in the face of obstacles.
5. Organized and accountable for their deliverables; professional in their approach to the work at hand.
6. Committed to Teach For India’s mission that we need to build a movement of leaders who will eliminate educational inequity in education.

Young Professional Ambassadors
If you are currently working in a corporate setting, you can become involved with Teach For India by becoming a Young Professional Ambassador at your workplace. We currently have more than 120 YPA’s across different workplaces in India and the United States. YPA’s are crucial to identifying the top leaders in their workplace that will join the Fellowship and become leaders in India. Their main responsibilities entail building awareness about the Teach For India movement, serving as a liaison between Teach For India and their networks, and targeted recruitment. YPA’s will mobilize young professionals from their companies and networks to apply to the Teach For India Fellowship through posters, presentations, calls, e-mails, group discussions/debates, and other media. They will be responsible for introducing Teach For India to the CSR/HR team of their company and the exploration of a partnership. Finally, they will help organize events for young professionals as well explore the possibility of a presentation in their companies or external networks they work with.

College Placement Cells
Teach For India has developed working relationships with many Placement Cells across India in order to help create awareness across Indian campuses about our mission. Teach For India has worked with campuses such as BITS-PILANI, Loyola College, Christ University, IIT-Mumbai, and IIT-Delhi to develop specific partnerships to engage the students and facilitate them in becoming Teach For India Fellows. College Placement Cells help organize and placement talks, meetings with faculty, and other means of ensuring that final year students are cognizant of Teach For India as a viable opportunity for them after graduating. Over the years, we have also devised strategic ways of working with different colleges to cater to the student population and the vision of the college.

Corporate HR/CSR
Teach For India works with the CSR and HR departments of myriad corporations across India to further create awareness about our mission. Teach For India believes that many of the nation’s future leaders are currently working in top corporations across India and believes that the experience of the Fellowship will be mutually beneficial to both Teach For India and the employees of companies that choose to join us. The nature of each relationship is specific to the company and depends on the alignment of core values and focus areas of both organizations. Teach For India is eager to have as many companies on board the movement as possible, because we strongly believe that corporate participation is a very important piece in the puzzle to solve educational inequity.

Events/Partnership
Those inspired by Teach For India’s mission and vision can work to help organize events and/or partnerships with the organization. Teach For India has worked with partner organizations to coordinate events such as InspirED, TedX, and numerous fundraisers around Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi. These events not only help create awareness regarding Teach For India, but also promote our vision of the elimination of educational inequity in India. Teach For India has also been showcased as a social partner at several events hosted by leading industry conglomerates, nonprofit networks and student organizations. In addition, Teach For India staff and Fellows have participated at several of these events as speakers and panelists. Teach For India looks to work with like-minded organizations to establish partnerships and events to promote our mission across India.
