“As a School Principal, what really guides me and my work is the vision that each child will be an educated, empowered individual capable of taking informed decisions independently, the belief that each child can and will achieve and the commitment that I will do whatever it takes to ensure that the vision turns to reality.”
- Rahul Gupta, 2009 Fellow
Principal, D N Nagar Mumbai Primary School
Rahul studied Economics at the University of Delhi before joining the Fellowship.
“During my 2 years with Teach For India, I learned that setting goals, believing in them and having a positive attitude go a long way in making the seemingly impossible a reality. I saw firsthand the impact I had on each student led to a changed classroom and eventually a transformed school. Next, I want to impact the system.
I’m now with McKinsey driving the Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s School Excellence Program – a project aiming to bring quality education to 450,000 children. I work closely with government leaders, schools, and NGOs as I learn how to tackle the complexities of scaling excellence across all schools in Mumbai.”
- Sana Gabula, 2009 Fellow McKinsey
Sana received her BE and worked with General Electric before joining the Fellowship.
